Frequently asked questions
What does an EICR identify?
An EICR records the condition of an electrical installation, identifying damage, deterioration, defects and anything that does not meet current safety standards, with each observation coded by severity.
How often is an EICR needed for a rented property?
Rented domestic properties in England generally require an EICR at least every five years, or at change of tenancy where the report recommends it.
Do you offer out-of-hours or emergency attendance?
We understand that problems don't always happen during working hours. For genuine emergencies such as a loss of heating or hot water, electrical faults, or leaks that risk damage to the property, we offer an out-of-hours call-out service for our landlord clients. Contact us on the number provided and we'll aim to attend as quickly as possible. Non-urgent issues raised outside working hours will be picked up the next working day.
