Solar PV and Battery Storage in Cheltenham and the Cotswolds

ADM Electrical Installations designs and installs solar PV and battery storage across Cheltenham and the Cotswolds. We install roof-mounted solar arrays with Sigenergy SigenStor modular battery storage and a Sigenergy Gateway, providing intelligent energy management, backup capability during a power cut and the option to expand capacity later.

What we provide

  • Solar PV design and roof-mounted array installation
  • Sigenergy SigenStor modular battery storage
  • Sigenergy Gateway for backup supply
  • Intelligent energy management and monitoring
  • Integration with existing distribution and consumer units
  • Commissioning, handover and aftercare

Who this service is for

  • Homeowners reducing reliance on imported electricity
  • Rural properties affected by power cuts
  • New builds and renovations planning renewables from the outset
  • Commercial premises with significant daytime demand

Technologies we work with

  • Sigenergy SigenStor battery storage
  • Sigenergy Gateway
  • 450W solar panels
  • Energy monitoring

How the process works

  1. Step 1

    Energy review

We look at your consumption pattern, roof orientation and available plant space.

  2. Step 2

    System design

We size the array and storage, and plan cable routes and equipment positions.

  3. Step 3

    Installation

Panels, inverter, storage and gateway are installed and integrated with the existing supply.

  4. Step 4

    Commissioning

The system is tested, configured and demonstrated, including backup operation.

  5. Step 5

    Monitoring and aftercare

Performance can be monitored and capacity expanded as needs change.

Frequently asked questions

How does solar battery storage work?

Solar panels generate electricity during daylight. Any generation not used immediately charges the battery, and the stored energy is then used later — typically in the evening — instead of importing from the grid.

Can battery storage provide backup during a power cut?

With a suitable gateway installed, stored energy can supply the property during an outage. At our Minchinhampton project, a Sigenergy Gateway provides full-home backup capability.

What size solar and battery system might a property need?

Sizing depends on your electricity consumption, roof area and orientation, and how much backup you want. The Minchinhampton installation uses 22 panels totalling 9.9kWp with 45kWh of storage; smaller systems are common. We size each system after reviewing your usage.

Will solar reduce my energy bills?

Generating and storing your own electricity reduces the amount you import, but the financial effect depends on your tariff, consumption and system size. We will not quote savings figures without reviewing your actual usage.
